Jan Randáček

He studied art history at Palacký University in Olomouc and started his career in the field of cultural heritage preservation. Since 2008 he was the director of the Liberec Regional Gallery. He collaborated on the reconstruction of the historic Spa, where Gallery was moved afterwards. Under his leadership, the gallery significantly increased number of visitors, number of exhibitions and overal prestige among the professional public, it expanded its offer for school and after-school activities, changed its presentation and communication, prepared successful international projects (Albrecht Dürer, Giacometti - Picasso - Chirico, OGL in Frankfurt am Main, Augsburg).

Since November 2020, he has been a national expert in the European Parliament (administration of the European Parliament's Contemporary Art Collection). He currently lives alternately in Brussels and Zittau.
