Ludmila Šikolová is a jeweler who was born and lives in Jablonec nad Nisou. She graduated from the Technical High School in Jablonec nad Nisou, majoring in metal engraving, followed by the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, an atelier of sculpture focusing on metal and jewelry. She spent a year on an internship at the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, USA.
In the 1990s, she worked as an art teacher at the School of Applied Arts in Jablonec nad Nisou, from where she returned to Prague to the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design, where she worked as a lecturer and head of a jewelry workshop until 1998. Since 2002 she has been a teacher and since 2015 an associate professor at the Department of Jewelery and Glass Design at the Technical University of Liberec.
She uses various materials for her jewelry pieces and small objects, where the narrative component plays an important role.
